Novi the Explorer

Life isn’t as simple as we think. However, some may think that simplifying their life leads to their happiness. I got small book, full of reflection of life, colorful (unless one page while darkness is covering happiness), full of baldy Bod’s face and Aunt Flo. Alice gave it to me 3 days ago. ‘Bod’s Way – the meaning of life’. Pretty good, eventhough I am not Tao followers. it definitely worths having the book. It is said that it is the way of nature. Like water, it flows everywhere. Everything follows the way. Being comes from non-being. In with the whirl out the swirl. It sounds so simple, well … do you believe in your destiny?

Here comes the following words, There’s the wind’s way and the water’s way,…and there’s Bod’s way.

Everybody wants to know the way to happiness. Let the grass grow under your feet and never let your footprints get ahead of you. You have to be straight before you can bent, what goes up might come down. GO WITH THE FLO(w)! Is that the nature of life ??

We often sit in the silence without knowing why the silence speaks to us.The leaf achieves without words, the flower unfolds, the spider spins, the snail trails. The bee stumbles out ot the flower, drunk with honey. The silence is broken – a frog jumps in the water, plop! LIFE IS FOR SMILING.

The usefulness of what is not is like making a bowl out of clay, it’s the empty space inside the bowl that makes it useful. “What a stirring thought,” thinks aunt Flo ,”I couldn’t mix a cake in the bowl if it were full”

“I couldn’t fill my fuel tank unless it was empty”. Well … i couldn’t fill this weblog unless it was empty

we like to empty our head …then FILL IT WITH DREAMS.

Flo and Frank enjoy more peaceful things – like walking under the cherry trees when they’re in blossom. They’re sad when the blossom falls and the leaves and cherries have gone.(only branches left)

“But look!” says Bod “Now you can see more of the sky through the branches” … THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO LIVE OUR LIFES. Let they travel across spring stream streams, summer meadows, auntumn fields and winter snows.

Then … I close the book with full of smile. It, little bit, relieves my burdens.

What unlucky day today! What I’d prepared is useless. We had media workshop. For me, it was more tiring rather than Exciting. But at least I have great experience, interviewed by famous reporters from Sky TV. So apa yang kupelajari dari hasil interviewku hari ini : firstly, always be aware that answering leading question, rather than putting accross your own message. Jurnalis gak bakalan peduli apa yang pengen kita sampaikan, mereka lebih care apa yang menjadi concern mereka. Secondly, Don’t respond off the cuff unless you’re absolutely sure of your facts. Jadi hati-hati kalo ngasih pernyataan. Thirdly, never say “no comment”. Lahhh yang ini sih daku cuman nyontek dari Dessy Ratnasari (Lol).

Sudah pertengahan semester seperti ini masih saja ada yang menawarkan untuk pindah provider listrik dan gas. Alasan standar yang dipakai sih tetep aja, “Compared to other providers, we are the best, cheapest price, bla..bla..bla.. and bla…bla…bla. Sejak pertengahan september tahun lalu kami sudah ganti provider tiga kali benernya. Tapi masih juga belum puas. I am thinking that if Indonesia has also many providers as in the UK, public choice theory can be applied. It’s about voice and exit, meaning that citizens vote for the preferred packages and they may quit if they dont like it and relocate to the best provider. So …kalo BBM, listrik and telephone naik dan rakyat tidak menghendaki, mereka bisa opt out dan cari provider yang lain. Kenyataannya … sekarang mau lari kemana lagi, rakyat gak punya pilihan koq. Well…aku masih yakin suatu saat kita akan sampai kesana. Kita punya resource, negara kita kaya, dan kita sedang mengarah kesana.

Masih terpaku disini, mengamati NAO dengan report-reportnya, berkali-kali aku dibuat PUSING. Kadang-kadang memang betul banyak membaca itu membuat kita bingung. Banyak membaca juga salah satu indikasi kalo psicologically we want to delay doing the assignment. Term yang terakhir itu kayaknya cocoknya cuman buat aku. Berkali-kali tutorku mengingatkan, do ur action Novi ! Stop reading! Duhh susah bener.

selama 2 minggu ini aku udah bikin city tour sendiri, kemaren kami pergi kemana bus membawa bus kami pergi, kita beli satu karcis yg bisa dipake untuk kemana2 selama satu hari itu(area west Midlands aja sih).Kita tertarik sama satu bus yg di routenya tertulis via Castle Bromwich, wahh bisa ngeliat Castle nih pikir kami, ternyata setelah berputar selama 1 jam, Castle itu tak kunjung kami temukan. Kamipun bertanya ke locals ternyata merekapun terheran2 ketika kami bilang kalo kami mencari Castle. cerita punya cerita, Casle Bromwich itu cuman nama daerah aja, Castlenyapun bahkan tak pernah ada, untung di situ ada taman (yg bisa menghibur lara hati kami ..hehe.

mmm belum setahun ternyata

Situasi Indonesia akhir-akhir ini berindikasi kearah badai ekonomi.
Lho, bukannya badai itu belum usai ?
Jadi perkembangan ke arah positif yang terjadi beberapa saat lalu hanya Euforia sesaat ?
Ah, come now! Semua ini hanya retorika yang tak harus di jawab.
Penurunan produksi nasional akan segera menjadi ancaman kalau tidak segera diambil langkah-langkah tepat dalam mengatasi gangguan keamanan dalam negeri pasca serangan AS ke Afganistan.
Sepertiya memang faktor nonekonomilah yang banyak menghambat Indonesia keluar dari krisis. Ketika melemahnya ekspor dijadikan tudingan sebagai salah satu penyebab keterpurukan ekonomi Indonesia saat ini, menggenjot ekspor menjadi tugas yang tidak mudah (dalam kondisi keamanan Indonesia saat ini), apalagi dengan menghambat impor.
Fokus pemerintah dalam pemulihan ekonomi selama ini tertuju pada pengurangan defisit anggaran, tetapi semuanya terdengar nonsen kalau toh perjanjian hutang luar negeri yang harus ditandatangi semakin bertambah banyak, atau melalui pengurangan subsidi yang pada akhirnya berdampak terhadap inflasi dan pengangguran.
Jadi, mengutip apa yang pernah Umar Juoro sampaikan, bahwa, faktor-faktor nonekonomilah yang mesti dijadikan fokus, mereduksi keresahan sosial dan menciptakan stabilitas keamanan yang kondusiflah yang akan membawa suatu hasil nyata.

Gara-gara Nina aku terpengaruh untuk membeli dua seri Celestine Prophecy, btw ceritanya lumayan bagus …menurutku. Selama ini baru sempat kudengar, kalau temanku mendongengiku cerita tentang pencarian manuskrip ini, gak seru memang kalau dia yang bercerita, udah ditambahi bumbu-bumbu – kasus distorsi informasi ? dan yang sampai padaku adalah persepsi dia. Sulit memang mencari yang tidak berat sebelah. Menghadapi berita-berita yang sempat singgah ditelingakupun, aku masih cenderung untuk berat sebelah.
